Three successful and happily unmarried villains get a surprise inheritance of a little girl. Forced to do the right thing and take care of the baby the three hopeless and hapless babysitters make an attempt until their pasts finally catch up with them. You will think you have it all figured out until a plot twist changes everything in this Family Friendly Musical Melodrama! Songs, gunfights, villains, foam rocks and cue cards fill this old west melodrama that is based loosely on a story from San Juan Capistrano's colorful history and one of the largest manhunts in the Wild West. Four contests are rolled into one evening of fun at the Fiesta Grande - Best Dressed Old West Man, Best Dressed Old West Woman, Best Belt Buckle, and the world famous "Smooth-Puss"/Hairest Man contest! So don your finest Old West outfit, belt buckle or facial hair* and enter one or more of the contests.

Spectators are always welcome at the Fiesta Grande!

There is a $5 entry fee for each contestant per contest entered.

Mar 24    Hoos' Gow Day

Hoos'gow  Day is a San Juan tradition! Bringing a taste of the Wild, Wild, West back to San Juan Capistrano. The 'Sheriff' and the 'Deputies' of the Fiesta Association are dressed in their traditional black and white western garb while they roam the town in search of city slickers. If you're not wearing western wear, watch out! You might just be roped into the fun! The Deputies will 'arrest' anyone not dressed in western attire (and some who are, but just look like they need time in the Hoosegow), or any man who is clean-shaven.

Mar 25    59th Swallows Day Parade & Mercado Street Faire

The 59th annual Swallows' Day Parade will be held on March 25, 2017. The Parade is part of the Fiesta de la Golondrinas celebrating the legend of the return of the swallows to the San Juan Capistrano Mission on St. Joseph's Day, March 19th.

The Swallows' Day Parade is the nation's largest non-motorized parade. It is organized and presented by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association and takes place right in down-town San Juan Capistrano.
The Parade and Mercado can be a full day of family fun, celebrating the Old West and the return of the swallows from their winter home in Argentina. Arrive early, as most street closures are in effect by 10:00 a.m. with the parade beginning promptly at 11 a.m.
